Coytt's First Birthday

| View Show | Create Your Own

Coytt had his first birthday on Sunday the 14th. Meagan and Josh blessed Brooklyn that day so we had the party out at their house since everyone was there already. We decorated the house with Coytt's favorite cartoon character "Go Diego Go", and Mark made a Rescue Pack Cake. We had a lot of fun and Coytt did pretty well opening the presents, he even got to where he would hold them up to show everyone like I was doing in the beginning. He got lots of toys and clothes, but the best part was having all the family there to share this special day with us. We have enjoyed this first year; it has been full of joy, suprises, ups, and downs, we love being parens. Coytt is growing up so quickly, I remember cudding up with him in the recliner and going to sleep. He has such a great, happy little personality that makes mommy and daddy laugh all the time. We are so thankful for such a good son, and are excited to see what this year will bring.

WATER BABY

Coytt has always loved the bath, but yesterday he suprised me. He was playing in the water when he suddenly put his face in the water and began blowing bubbles. He now likes to lay on his belly and kick his feet and then put his face in the water and blow bubbles. Brave little boy....I guess we've got a swimmer on our hands.

This picture is actually of him pulling his head out of the water, I couldn't take it fast enough when he was blowing bubbles.
So proud of himself. It's like he's saying "Aren't I cute mommy?" and of course I clap and say "Yes you are mi hijo!"

A Texas Christmas

This was Coytt's first time on airplane and boy did he love it. He is so much like his daddy. They both just stared out the window the whole timel. Coytt loved sitting by the wings and the jet engines and watching them. We spent Christmas Eve with Mark's mom's side of the family the Reyna's. Before opening presents we spent most of the time in Uncle Nick's pool house. He and his 3 sons built this cool place from scratch. The most impressive part about it is that 90% of the marerials were free. They found scrap metal and wood and old restaurant furnituture to build it. We always enjoy hanging out and watching the family play Texas Hold 'em while we play pool ( I am still not very good, but Mark is teaching me). When we went into the house to open presents I couldn't believe how many presents were under the tree. I don't think the picture shows accurately how many gifts there were. Mark and I put a dollar into the pot to guess how many presents there were and we won, which was a nice little present itself...about $40. On the 26th we celebrated with Mark's dad's side of the family. Mark, Nikki, and Billy are the only grandchildren, and they have an adopted member of the family an exchange student from China. Although the family is small we had a lot of fun. Grandma Johnnie got out her old high chair from when she was a baby and Coytt loved it. I can't believe she kept it in such good condition for 71 years! This was the first time Coytt met his Aunt Nikki, Uncle JD and Uncle Billy. Aunt Nikki sure loved playing with him. Uncle Billy thought he was the coolest thing since cookies and milk. It was so fun to watch them hold him and play with him. The last picture is my favorite! I have heard of people putting long horn racks on their cars, but I have never seen it. Well check out this Cadillac with the giant rack. I laughed until I almost peed my pants. Merry Christmas Ya'll....and a Happy New Year too.
