Eric

We have had a lot of fun having Eric here so far. He is enjoying Higley High and is on their football team. Dalon loves him and I am not sure what he will do when he leaves. Here are some pictures of his first couple of weeks.

Eric's first day

Well yesterday was a big day for our family. We picked up Eric at the airport. He is our Exchange Student from Brazil. He will be here for the next year. He is a great kid. He likes airplanes, music and chocolate....he fits in perfectly. He starts school tomorrow at Higley High School. We are excited to have him here. Coytt and Dalon love having him. His biggest shock has been the heat. He keeps saying "more hot would be impossible" We keep telling him this is actually a cool week. Poor kid. We have only taken a couple of pictures, but there will be plenty more to come. Everyone meet Eric!

Lake Powell, Willy, and The Cowboys

This Summer has been such a busy one for our little family. We have been all over the place it seems like. We had a wonderful experience hosting a foriegn exchange student from China named Yang Wenyue or Willy. She loved the boys and they loved her. We miss her so much already. We took her with us on our annual Lake Powell trip. She had never rode jet skis before and loved it. She was also brave enough to let Blake pull her on the Tube. Coytt and Dalon loved the lake. Dalon would just run out and play in the middle of the water and just let his life jacket keep him a float. A few days after we got back Mark and the boys left for a road trip to see his family. More on that later. They stopped at Aunt Jamie's house in Dallas and played with Andrea and Buddy and also got to see the new Cowboys stadium...I am so jealous.

Paris at night

When we got to Paris it was raining. We only had one day since we missed our flight that morning (that is a whole different post). Although it was raining we still went to the Louvre and saw all the sights at night. The Eiffel Tower and the Arch De Trioumph (Spell Check). Here are the pictures of Paris at night. We have taken about 300 pictures a day so I am doing my best to pick the best ones and put them up here. I have been trying to label them as we go so I don't forget what everything was. Anyway here are the pictures of Paris at night.

Rome and Paris

Sculpture of John the Baptist's Head on a platter (The Louvre Paris)
My favorite sculpture in the Louvre. It is Cupid and Psyche, this is just before Cupid Kisses her and brings her back to life after being killed by the beauty vapors in a vase given to her by Aphrodite. Read the myth it is a pretty neat story.
The Dying Slave, Michaelangelo sculpted this at the age of 28.
THE MONA LISA (Paris)Please ignore the bandana, I had to throw my mousse away in Rome becuase the airline didn't allow our toiletries bag on the plane because it was too heavy.
Venus Di Milo At the Louvre in Paris
Columns in the Louvre in Paris
Fountains in Rome at night.
The Colosseum at night. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!
