Just Some Fun Pictures

Coytt loves to play and here are some of the cute pictures we took this week of him. We got the Indian Headdress when we were in Oklahoma visiting Mark's mom and dad. Coytt sure loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa Tatom. I will post more about the trip when I get some of the pictures. He got the Coon had for his birthday from Uncle Bryce, and he is really getting into bubbles. He is such a fun, cute and happy little guy, we are so blessed to have such a wonderful son.

Daddy taught him to dunk his cookies in milk, but couldn't get him to eat it after it was all wet. It was too cute watching him dunk it and look at it like "ewww gross, you wan't me to eat that?"

Family Fun

This week was quite a busy and fun week for our little family. Mark is getting ready for the Pinewood Derby with his Boy Scout Troop, and so he has been working on his car and helping some of the boys whose dad's don't have the time with theirs. It is so cute to see the boys with him and how much they look up to him. Mark spent his day's off this week really enjoying the time with Coytt and me, and we loved spending it with him. We had so much fun! On Monday Mark took Coytt to Toys R Us and looked at toys. Coytt fell in love with the power wheels, but to his disapointment daddy had to say no becuase $300 is a little too much for a toy. But daddy came through and found one for $30 at DI and so of course Coytt now has a new Jeep Power Wheels, we just need a new battery which of course I said we don't need to get for another year or so or at least when he can actually reach the peddals :) But boy does Coytt love to sit in that thing and "drive" it. We also had fun with Coytt's aunt Marti who is in town on Spring Break. We took her with us to get our sonogram, and then we went to Makutu's Island. I thought Coytt would be afraid of the slides but I of course was wrong, he climbed all over the place and went down the biggest slide with Mark and laughed the whole way down. He was so worn out by the time we went home the poor little guy fell asleep almost the moment we got in the car. But it definately was a fun time.

If you look closely you can see Coytt in the net climbing.

Mark's Birthday

Well today was Mark's 33rd birthday, and we celebrated all day. We started the day with a present that was for both of us really. We had our first ultrasound for the new baby. It was so fun! The picture was so clear you could even see it's little fingers. Mark was so excited his hands were sweating profusely while he was driving to the Dr.'s office. The baby also kept moving all over the place...looks like we have another Coytt on our hands :) When we got home I gave Mark his gifts from Coytt and I. I got him a remote control airplane, and Coytt got him a giant F-16 Kite. Then we went out to Josh and Meagan's house for a suprise dinner and brownies and ice cream. It was a very fun day. Mark said it was the best birthday ever!

Fearless!!

As I said in my last post Coytt is quite the fearless little boy. Today while he was playing at a friends house he took a fall and bumped his head on the tile. He won't slow down, so he falls a lot because he is always trying to run everywhere. She told me he was climbing on everything, chairs, the couch so I thought hee fell trying to climb the stairs, but she said he was walking on the tile and tooke a nose dive (I guess he's a climber and not a runner hehe). He didn't cry long though, and just kept on playing, bump, bloody nose and all. He has this awful knot and bruise on his head that looks like he took a marker and drew right in the middle of his head. Mark always said his kids would never get hurt, well that was before he had a son who is fearless!

Busy Busy Boy

Well it has been awhile since I have posted some pictures of Coytt, so here is an update on the little guy and some pictures and video. He has definately been keeping us busy and he has learned so much. He says a few words, his favorite are "WOW!" "OH" "UH-OH" "Mama" Dada" "Pa pa" (pa pa is a spanish word Mark uses for food when he is feeding Coytt, so he says this when he is eating) and "mmmmm" I swear I heard him say "Oh Boy" once, but I haven't heard it since. He is starting to walk more. He is so silly, he can't just go slow so he tries to run everywhere and it looks so funny, he keeps his arms in the air and his legs a little stiff, it is so cute to watch him wobble all over. He loves to sing, and will sing in the car when we are listening to music. He loves "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and does the actions with me when we sing it before bed. He is also quite the fearless climber, he will climb on, up and over anything. The other day Mark went in the kitchen and heard a banging noise and found that Coytt had opened the dryer and climbed in it. We have to watch him so close or he is up on the table in seconds. He loves the computer and will climb on the chair and try to type on the keyboard. He also loves the phone and "talks" on it all the time. He also loves his hats. The other day he wanted to sleep in his hat. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get him to take it off, it was so cute, silly little boy got so mad everytime I even touched his hat. We are enjoying every growing moment and every learning experience he is such a joy to have in our lives.

Isn't He a Cutie!?

Today's Cravings

So today I am sitting on the couch (9am) and I get this strong desire that I need potato chips and onion dip. Not the fake onion dip either, the real stuff with sour cream and the powder mix. So I curled up on the couch with a giant bowl of dip and a bag of chips and watched an old Women's Conferene talk on BYU TV. The message was great, Sister Sheri Dew talked about who we are and who we have always been and by we I mean women. She testified of the truthfulness that we are indeed Daughters of our Heavenly Father, and that we have always been of this noble birthright, and that because we have always been this we have to potential to become as our Heavenly Father. It was such a touching talk. I have been asking Heavenly Father to remind me of my divine worth...lately it seems I need this reminder as life gets so crazy. Anyway in church on Sunday a gentleman gave a talk on self worth and the fact that we are children of God, and should view ourselves of great worth for that sole purpose. And then today this talk helped to strengthen my testimony to the trufulness of something we sing and talk about every Sunday "I am a Child of God, and HE has Sent me Here" Also it reasures me that I was chosen to come to this earth as not only a daughter of God, but as a mother of his children here on earth. I was chosen before I came to this earth and so were all of you other mothers out there. I am sure that I am not the only one that looks at my son and is brought to tears thinking that not so long ago he was with his Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus Christ. I wonder what stories he would tell me of them if he could talk. It makes me want to strive harder each day to live up to this divine potential, and it gives me strength knowing that if my Father in Heaven believes I can do it then somewhere inside I must have what it takes to be a mother to these precious spirits that have been saved for these the hardest and most sin filled Latter Days. I pray with all my heart that he gives me the tools, strength, and patience to grow with my children and "Lead them, Guide them, and Walk beside them, to Help them Find the Way." I hope I can "Teach them all that they must Do, to live with Him someday."

The Fun Begins :)

Well when I reached the 8 week mark of pregnancy and had no signs of morning sickness I was rejoicing. Although this pregnancy is already markedly different than my first, I have enjoyed not throwing up. Well then it started....night sickness. At about 8pm I get nauseated and feel as if I am going to hurl at any second. I have to sit on the couch and slowly sip a glass of Ginger Ale (which I now keep by my bedside) until the nausea goes away. I have only thrown up once, but the feeling is awful. With Coytt I threw up once during the day...maybe twice and then I could pretty much move on with my day. Well this time I am tired..Exhausted to be exact, I am always hungry, I could eat anything and everything, and I am extremely cranky. I have even had cravings; which I never had with Coytt. The other night at almost 10pm I wanted sweet and sour chicken so Mark and I went to Wengs and got take out. The next day I had to have potato soup...which I know how to make but in no way had the energy, so I had to call around to 5 or 6 restaurants until I found one that Potato was the soup of the day. Lately I have been wanting a greasy basket of fish and chips or a fish sandwich with tartar sauce, I have yet to eat one, but boy does it sound delicious. (I never eat fish sandwiches) Well I guess each pregnancy will be a whole new experience for me, and although it can be rough at times I am greatful to assist my Heavenly Father in this miracle. I am grateful to be a mother and pray that I can be a good example to my children. I am excited and nervous for what the next 7 months have in store for me and then of course the many years after that, but I am sure it will be a learning experience if nothing else.
